Free WAEC CBT practice

WAEC objective papers are sat one subject at a time, and each paper has its own question count and time allowance — English Language runs 80 questions in 60 minutes, Mathematics 50 questions in 90 minutes. There is no single "WAEC pace" the way there is for JAMB.

WAEC ran objective papers as computer-based tests from the November 2025 series and says the 2026 WASSCE stays computer-based, rolling out through centres with the ICT facilities. Practise one subject at a time below, on the same screen controls: Next, Previous, flag for review, countdown timer, corrections at the end.

Format figures on this page are as of the 2026 exam cycle. West African Examinations Council revises them — check your own timetable and the Council's notices before exam day.

WAEC CBT — the questions candidates ask

Is WAEC now a computer-based test?
WAEC began delivering objective papers as CBT from the November 2025 series and has said the 2026 WASSCE remains computer-based, phased in through centres that have the ICT facilities. Whether your own centre sits the paper on a computer this cycle is a question for WAEC and your school — confirm it rather than assume.
How many questions are in a WAEC objective paper?
It depends on the subject. English Language is 80 questions in 60 minutes and Mathematics is 50 questions in 90 minutes. Check the allowance printed on your own subject timetable — the counts differ paper by paper and are revised from cycle to cycle.
How long should I spend on one WAEC question?
About 45 seconds in English Language and just under two minutes in Mathematics. Where WAEC has not published a figure we time the practice set at 60 seconds a question, which is tighter than most papers and therefore safe to train on.
Can I flag a WAEC question and come back to it?
Flag-and-review is standard in CBT software, and this simulator has it: flag any question, keep moving, and the palette shows you every flagged number so you can clear them before you submit.
Is this the real WAEC software?
No. This is an independent practice simulator using past objective questions. We are not WAEC and WAEC does not endorse us — always confirm dates, subject entries, and exam rules with the Council.
